Ontario’s doctors applaud ban on tanning beds for those under 18

Banning the use of tanning beds for people under the age of 18 is getting thumbs up from the Ontario doctors. The McGuinty government announced they will adopt NDP legislation, which would prohibit minors from using tanning beds. The doctors claim to be the first to sound alarms about the harmful effects of the beds, particularly when it comes to children. Officials say the ultra violet rays in tanning beds, as are dangerous as the UV rays from the sun.
