Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Crime, Durham

Two separate muggings in Ajax are believed to be linked.  Durham Police say the first incident happened in the Sullivan and Bennett area, as a teen was walking home from school just before 3:30 Wednesday afternoon.  He was confronted by two suspects, and robbed of his phone, necklace and cash.  Then, at about 4:00, the same suspects are believed to have threatened two 13 year olds in the Ritchie and Knapton area.  Thankfully none of the victims was hurt.  The first suspect is described as male, possibly of Middle Eastern Descent, 19 or 20 years old, 5’9″ with a medium build, was clean-shaven and was wearing a red and black baseball cap, a red and black sweater and black jeans.  The second suspect is described as male, possibly of Middle Eastern descent, 5’7″ with a slim build with black, spiky hair and was wearing dark blue jeans and a long sleeved, black and red striped shirt.  Anyone with information is urged to call police at 905-579-1520, ext. 2565 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
