Toronto mayor accused of putting his city staff to work for his high school football team

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Toronto

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford is on the hot seat over allegations he used his taxpayer-funded staff to work with his high school football team. Ford hasn’t denied that his staff did in fact help support the team, but says they volunteered their own time to do so. The allegations come a week after Ford was made to testify over allegations he sent donation requests for his football foundation out on official city letterhead. He said at that time city resources were no longer being used to benefit the team.
