Crash in Vaughan claims the life of a motorcycle rider

A 30 year old Etobicoke man is facing impaired charges after a fatal accident in Vaughan.  York Regional Police say at about 11:45 Wednesday night, a motorcycle collided with a truck  in the Major Mackenzie and Highway 400 area.  The driver of the motorcycle, a 45 year old Richmond Hill man, was pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver of the truck, Larry Oliveira has been charged with impaired driving causing death and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death.  Any witnesses are being asked to call police at 1-866-876-5423, ext. 7704 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
