Home resales in Durham decline at the end of a busy summer

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Durham

After a busy summer, home resales began to decline last month in Durham. According to the Durham Region Association of Realtors, there were 902 sales in August, off 7 percent from the previous month. Inventory was also down 6 percent. However, the agency says they believe more inventory will be coming on the market in the fall, resulting in higher sales. The average price of a home in Durham rose half-a-percent to $339,000.
