Peel officer cleared in woman’s death

The SIU has wrapped up its investigation into the death of a woman in Peel Region. Officials say the 44 year old was arrested at Pearson Airport by the RCMP, on drug charges, and the next morning was taken by Peel Police to a Brampton courthouse. Then, in the afternoon, she appeared to be in medical distress and was rushed to hospital. Officials say the woman died from complications related to her diabetic condition. The SIU says the subject officer has been cleared of any wrong-doing in the woman’s death.
