Bad news for anyone who didn’t make it to the pump Tuesday night. Gas prices in the GTA spiked 3.4 cents a litre overnight. According to TomorrowsGasPriceToday.com, that brings the average cost to just under $1.37 a litre. Gas price watchdog Dan McTeague says he can’t see a reason for the spike and calls it a money grab. Meanwhile, count yourself lucky you don’t live in Montreal, where gas prices climbed 13 cents Tuesday night, to just under $1.53 a litre.
