Man pleads guilty in north Pickering confinement room case

The man accused of building a dungeon in the basement of an abandoned north Pickering home has pleaded guilty to break and enter. Durham Police charged Robert Edwin White, after the discovery of the confinement room, complete with chains, a reinforced door and video equipment. White had reportedly planned to kidnap a woman who supported his ex-wife through their divorce. The sentencing is scheduled for Monday. Meanwhile, the abandoned home burned down in January, but police never laid any charges.
