Toronto Police ask for public’s help identifying a sexual assault suspect

Toronto Police are warning the public of a sexual assault investigation. Officers allege a 20 year old woman was followed while walking in the Church and Gerrard Street East area, around 6:30 am on September 4th. The suspect attacked the woman in the Mutual Street and Gould Street area, but fled when she screamed. As the woman continued down Mutual Street, the man assaulted her a second time, but she fought him off and he fled. The man is described as black, with a dark complexion, in his 20s, between 5’8’’ and 6’, with a medium build, with shaved or short hair.
