Durham’s Chair elected to AMO Board of Directors

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Durham, Politics

Durham’s Regional Chair has been elected to the Board of Directors, for the Association of Municipalities of Ontario.  Roger Anderson is a past president of AMO and has been involved with the organization for almost 20 years.  He’s also been named Chair of the Regional and Single Tier Caucus, something he says puts him at the table with Cabinet Ministers.  Anderson says ensuring Ontario is paying for services that should be at the provincial level gives municipalities more time and money to focus on issues including policing and infrastructure.  And that’s something he’ll be fighting for.
