Beach postings for the long weekend in Durham

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Durham

It’s expected to be a beautiful Labour Day long weekend, however people in Durham region who are looking to head to the beach are limited in their options.  According to the Health Department, only three of the region’s fourteen beaches are safe for swimming.  They include Bowmanville Beach East, Frenchman’s Bay West in Pickering, and Whitby Beach.  All other beaches have elevated bacteria levels and are unsafe for swimming.
