Off-duty officer hurt in crash in Whitby

An off-duty police officer suffered serious injuries in a crash in Whitby on Wednesday night. Durham Police say two vehicles collided at Lakeridge and Taunton just after 9:00. The driver of the second vehicle was not hurt. So far, no charges have been laid however, investigators believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
