Thousands of dollars in drugs and cash seized in Pickering

A Pickering man is facing drug charges after an investigation by Durham Police. Officials say the suspect fled during a traffic stop on Wednesday, but was later found with a quantity of marijuana in a wooded area near Valley Farm Road and Dellbrook Avenue. A search of the suspect’s home on Blue Ridge Crescent in the Brock and Concession Road 3 area, revealed marijuana, hashish, percocet, codein and cash with a total value of over $82,000. 25 year old Faheem Mirza has been charged.
