A rash of break ins prompt Toronto police to ask the public to be vigilant about security

Police would like to make the public aware of an increase of vehicle thefts and break and enters in the Toronto area.    Police say thieves have been breaking into homes to steal vehicle keys.  Homes affected include the areas of Don River on the east, Bloor Street on the south, Bathurst Street on the west, and Lawrence Avenue in the north.  Police are giving a few safety tips:  If you have a garage, park your vehicle inside, set your car alarm, and keep your keys secure and out of plain view in your home.
