Elderly woman hit by truck and killed in Mississauga

An elderly woman was hit and killed by a tractor trailer in Mississauga on Wednesday. Peel Police say the incident happened just after 1:00 in the afternoon, as the woman was trying to cross the street at Burnamthorpe and Wolfdale. Officials say the driver of the truck, a 47 year old man from Quebec, remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities. So far, no charges have been laid.
