Ken Lewenza re-elected as national president by CAW delegates

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories

As part of the CAW’s first constitutional and collective bargaining convention, delegates elected the union’s new leadership team.  National president Ken Lewenza has been officially re-elected; along with national secretary-treasurer Peter Kennedy. Lewenza says the first order of business is to focus on a collective agreement with the big three automakers. He says they also plan to continue discussions with the CEP, and move forward with their proposed merger in the coming months. Sylvan Martin has been elected as the Quebec Director, replacing Jean-Pierre Fortin. The term of office for each position is three years.
