SIU investigating Scarborough crash involving a police cruiser

The Special Investigations Unit is looking into a crash, after a two people, including a Toronto Police officer were taken to hospital. The cruiser and another vehicle collided on Midland Avenue near Lawrence around 12:30 Thursday afternoon. The officer was responding to a call at the time. He suffered a fractured and dislocated pelvis, while the female driver, 57-year-old Sharon Lamonday, sustained a fractured ankle.
