Oshawa patient arrested after barricading himself in his room

Durham Police were called to an Oshawa hospital early Thursday, when a patient barricaded himself in his room. Officers arrived at Lakeridge Health around 2:15 am, after staff reported a 30 year old man, armed with a bathroom faucet, had barricaded himself in his room. With the help of the tactical support unit the man was eventually apprehended under the mental health act. No charges are expected and no one was hurt.
