Durham Police lay charges in Beaverton murder

Officials say just after noon on Sunday, they were called to a farm on the 5th Concession, in Brock Township regarding an altercation between two men.  Police say 43 year old Charlie Bath was found dead.  Another man, 32 year old Richard Shearer, was arrested shortly afterwards and has been charged with second degree murder.  Investigators say the two men knew each other and believe they were involved in an ongoing conflict.  This is Durham Region’s fourth homicide of 2012.  Anyone with information is urged to call police at 905-579-1520, ext.5400 or 5405 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
