Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, GTA, Politics, Toronto

Federal N-D-P leader Tom Mulcair will be in the Toronto area Saturday for a celebration in memory of late party leader Jack Layton.  Mulcair will be joined by M-P Olivia Chow and N-D-P M-P-P Jagmeet Singh this afternoon for the celebration at Singh’s Brampton office.  Layton died of cancer last August 22nd only a few months after leading the N-D-P into official Opposition status for the first time in its 50-year history.  A movie based on Layton’s 2011 election campaign is expected to air on C-B-C T-V in early 2013.
