Most of Durham Region’s beaches will be open for swimming this weekend

If you’re heading to the beach this weekend, you have a number to choose from, as nine of Durham Region’s 14 beaches are open for swimming. That leaves five beaches off the list – Beaverton Beach North and South, Kinsmen Beach, Pickering Beach and Thorah Centennial Park – those are closed due to elevated bacteria levels.
