Oshawa man charged, following investigation into alleged historic sex assaults

An Oshawa man is facing charges, after an investigation into sexual assault incidents that are alleged to have happened more than 25 years ago.  Durham Police say a group of adult males recently came forward, claiming they’d been sexually assaulted between 1975 and 1985.  Officials say 64 year old Stanley Brown, who also goes by the name Mark Brown has been charged.  Police say he was a former Scout leader in Oshawa and held various roles of leadership in amateur sports.  Investigators are urging any other possible victims to come forward.  Anyone with information is asked to call police at 905-579-1520, ext.5337 or 5323 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
