Information Pickets interupt traffic near the Darlington and Pickering nuclear stations

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Business, Durham

Engineers and scientists are picketing at all of Ontario’s reactors. Members of the Society of Professional Engineers and Associates working for SNC-Lavalin have been on strike for six weeks. Spokesperson, Doctor Michael Ivanco, says workers conceded to pension charges, but the employer has continued to ask for more and more, and he says they refuse to be walked over. Wednesday, there were some traffic delays reported in the area of the Pickering and Darlington nuclear stations as workers hold information pickets.
