Local vet clinics trying to help control cat population in Durham Region

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Durham

The Durham Humane Society and 42 volunteer veterinary clinics in the Region are doing all they can to control the cat population.  Doctor Sue Dorland with the Oshawa Animal Hospital says people who can’t afford to have their cat spayed or neutered can take their pet to the humane society and get a voucher for the procedure.  Clients who qualify include seniors receiving federal income supplements, anyone receiving Ontario disabilities support, Canada Pension Plan or financial assistance through the Ontario Works program.
