RCMP investigating death of Peace Officer in Alberta

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Crime

A Canadian Peace Officer has died in the line of duty in southern Alberta.  The victim, Rod Lazenby, was a retired Mountie.  He went to a ranch on the outskirts of Calgary on Friday to enforce a bylaw.  Police say an “incident” occurred and Lazenby died in hospital.  Police say no shots were fired, but at this point that’s all they’re saying.   Officials say 46 year old Trevor Kloschinsky has been charged with first degree murder.
