23 year-old man charged with being an accessory in Toronto murder

A man accused of being an accessory in the death of a 23-year-old woman found near Toronto’s waterfront last year is now charged with first-degree murder in the case. Leanne Freeman, who was originally from Winnipeg, was shot and killed in November. Police have now upgraded the charge against 23-year-old Jonathan Ash. Another man, 31-year-old Joseph Beauregard, was already charged with first-degree murder in the slaying.
