Rafferty plans to appeal murder conviction

Michael Rafferty has set the wheels in motion to appeal his conviction last may for killing eight year old Tori Stafford of Woodstock. Rafferty claims the judge at his trial in London, failed to properly insturct the hury. He also says the jury failed to understand the standards of evidence needed for a first-degree murder conviction. Rafferty is serving life with no parole for at least 25 years for the killing, which occurred in 2009.
