SIU investigating after pedestrian hit and killed by police cruiser in Toronto

The province’s police watchdog is continuing to investigate the death of a 64 year-old woman.  Officials say the victim was hit and killed by a police cruiser, that was escorting a funeral procession, in the Highway 27 and Rexdale Boulevard area on Saturday afternoon.  The agency has identified the woman as Satyawatti Katryan.  Any witnesses are urged to contact the SIU at 416-641-1866.
