A new public school in Bowmanville, is another step closer to becoming a reality. The Ministry of Education has approved a more than $10-million tender, for the construction of Duke of Cambridge Public School.  Chair of the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board says this will be a replacement, for Ontario Street Public School. The school will be built next to Bowmanville High School, just off Liberty Street and will house up to 700 students. It’s scheduled to be up and running by September 2013.
