Oshawa residents’ stories to be remembered onscreen

A generous donation from the federal government has been made to help fund a project from the Foundation for Building Sustainable Communities. The group is receiving $25 thousand to create a video, re-enacting Oshawa residents’ involvement in the War of 1812. Director, Joan Kerr, says they want to collaborate stories shared by Oshawa residents to make the video – she says over the years, they’ve chronicled residents’ involvement in all major historical events.
