Suit against Sunrise Propane moves forward

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Business, GTA, Toronto

An Ontario court has certified a collective lawsuit, against Sunrise Propane, regarding the massive explosion in Toronto almost four years ago, meaning victims can move forward with a class action lawsuit.  The 2008 incident resulted in the death of one worker and over 12 thousand people being evacuated from their homes.  The class action is seeking hundreds of millions of dollars in damages from Sunrise Propane, some of its suppliers and the Technical Standards and Safety Authority.
