Future patroller captains learn about school bus safety

CAA South Central Ontario’s annual leadership camp will see more than 100 future patroller captains receive training. Police officers and firefighters from throughout the region will take conduct training for the School Safety Program, which has been around for 80 years. On Wednesday, the officers will gather at Camp Samac in Oshawa, to learn bus safety, first aid and how to properly use a fire extinguisher. Later, officers from the Barrie Tactical Unit will make K-9 demonstrations and show how their weapons and gear are used.
