A large group of cyclists from across the province are left Oshawa Tuesday morning to continue their journey. The group is taking part in the Great Waterfront Trail Adventure, which is a 730-kilometre trek from Niagara-On-The-Lake to the Quebec border. Spokesperson Marlane Koehlar says they chose to stay overnight in Oshawa, because it provides great amenities for cyclists. A ceremony was held officially designating Oshawa as a ‘Bicycle Friendly Community’, an honour also given to the Town of Ajax.
