A pair of Durham Region beaches posted as unsafe for swimming

There are plenty of options available for those looking to head to the beach this weekend. According to the Durham Health Department, only two of the Region’s 14 beaches have been posted as unsafe for swimming. Officials say Lakeview Beach West in Oshawa and Thorah Centennial Park Beach in Brock, have elevated bacteria levels. All other beaches are open and safe for swimming.
