Toronto police are investigating several robberies that occurred between June and July in the area of Church Street and Wellesley Avenue East.  Police say the suspects approached victims walking alone after leaving bars or restaurants, and forcibly take their cellphones or money, assaulting the victim without warning.  People are asked to be aware of their surroundings and take safety precautions when walking alone.  Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-5100 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
