Crash in Newmarket leaves one man dead and another in serious condition

A crash in Newmarket has claimed the life of one man while another remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries. York police say around 8:45 Thursday night, a van lost control crossing train tracks on McCowan Road near Davis Drive. The vehicle went into a ditch and both men were ejected. Police continue to investigate. The victims’ names and ages have not yet been released.
