Labour problems ongoing for Peel Region workers

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, GTA, Politics

Hundreds of striking workers in Peel Region are back on the job, however hundreds more are still on the picket lines.  Officials with CUPE Local 966 say Ontario Works and Transhelp members recently voted in favour of the region’s latest offer while Regional Public Works employees rejected it. Close to 300 of those workers are still on strike, and union officials say they’re looking for a fair deal with no more concessions, and hope to return to the bargaining table soon.
