Whitby car dealership fire causes half a million dollars damage

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Durham

A fire at a Whitby car dealership has caused roughly $500,000 damage. That’s the early estimate from Whitby fire officials, after dousing the early morning blaze at Gus Brown, on Wednesday. Fire crews were called to the Dundas and Anderson area around 5:00 am and were forced to take out a portion of the roof in an effort to fight the fire and smoke. Investigators are on scene, trying to determine the cause.
