Highway 27 re-opens, after fatal two vehicle accident

One person is dead after a two vehicle accident on Highway 27, in York Region. Police say just after 10:30 Monday morning, a car collided head on with a truck on Highway 27 between Major Mackenzie and Nashville Road. There were three people in the car, two of them suffered non-life threatening injuries, while a female passenger was pronounced dead at hospital. Highway 27 was closed for several hours, but has re-opened. Any witnesses are urged to call police at 1-866-876-5423, ext.7704.
