Computer users warned to check for malware

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories

Computer users are being warned, malware might knock thousands off the internet on Monday. The warnings about the internet problem have been put up on Facebook and Google, as providers have sent notices the FBI has set up a special website. Thousands of Canadians and tens of thousands of Americans may lose internet access Monday, unless they do a check of their computers for malware that could have taken over their machines last year. The number of computers infected is more than 277,000 around the world. Users whose computers are still infected on Monday will lose their ability, and they will need to contact their provider.
