A woman is dead after an accident in Brock Township Thursday. Durham Police say a motorcycle collided with a pick-up truck on Lakeridge Road near Regional Road 13, north of Uxbridge, just before 3:30 in the afternoon.  The female driver of the bike was found without vital signs.  The roadway was closed for several hours.  Investigators are asking any witnesses to come forward.  The victim’s name has not yet been released.

When will they put a set of lights at this intersection?
How many crosses does there have to be in the ditch?
I use the intersection every day and it’s a disaster. I personaly have seen at leat a half dozen near misses at this intersection and as many accidents.
Thanks for the flashing light, but it,s just not cutting it.
(P.s to those who look after the traffic surveys. Please don’t waste your time putting a person there to watch traffic. The last time i saw the person doing the survey there it was 1:00pm in the afternoon on a Wednesday! Why don’t you try 5:00-6:00pm or just one Friday afternoon should convince you that a set of lights are required at this intersection.
    My prayers to the family.

I absolutely agree with Gord…listen to the people that know this intersection and it’s deadly history. Put lights here now before another tragedy occurs! God bless the family at this extremely difficult time.

My Husbad and Daughter were hit there in Oct. when someone ran the stop sign. They were T-boned on my daughter’s side & than throwin into uncoming traffic where they were hit again. It took out my whole trunk and back seat, so if my daughter had been sitting where she should have been or 1 of my other kids that stayed home that day. Well lets say it would have been alot worse. It is with luck & someone watching over them that they came away with minor injuries (still suffering). There really honestly needs something done at that intersection.
My Thoughts & Prayers with her friends & family.
