Crews douse house fires in Oshawa and Whitby

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Durham

A pair of house fires in Oshawa and Whitby kept crews busy Wednesday. Durham Police say around noon, flames broke out at a home on Wilson Road in Oshawa. Thankfully it was unoccupied at the time, and so there were no injuries. Later in the afternoon, around 2:30, a blaze erupted at a residence on Resolute Crescent in Whitby. The fire caused significant damage, but the lone occupant managed to escape unharmed. Neither fire is considered suspicious.
