Investigation underway into deadly stage collapse at Downsview Park

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, GTA, Toronto

Ministry of Labour investigators are trying to determine the cause of Saturday’s deadly stage collapse at Toronto’s Downsview Park.  They’re also trying to determine whether safety regulations were followed in the stage set-up. The stage was being prepared for a Radiohead concert when the top of the structure suddenly fell, killing one worker and injuring three others, one seriously. The man who died was the band’s drum technician, Scott Johnson.  The sold out concert was cancelled after the collapse.
