Durham residents raise thousands in the Race for Kids

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Durham

35 participants competed in Saturday’s inaugural Capital One Race for Kids, which raised a total of $17,287.00.  The Durham event was one of twelve adventure races that took place coast-to-coast in support of local Boys and Girls Clubs across Canada that day.  The organization plans to make this their annual flagship fundraising event.  Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada is a non-profit organization providing programs that support the healthy physical, educational and social development of more than 200,000 children, youth and their families each year.  The organization provides snacks, meals and emergency shelter, and family support groups to help those in need.
