Montreal Police believe the suspect in a gruesome case of dismembered body parts may be in a foreign country. A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for 29 year old Luka Rocco Magnotta, who’s now on Interpol’s wanted person’s list. Magnotta has several aliases and has blogged about changing identities and escaping. Police believe Magnotta killed a man in his Montreal apartment, committed numerous acts on the corpse, dismembered the body and mailed the parts to the offices of political parties in Ottawa. Experts in criminal behaviour are paying close attention to the case for clues about the suspected killer’s psychological profile. One veteran retired criminal profiler says the suspect has a pathological need for attention and is going out of his way to shock the public to gain desperately desired notoriety. He says the extensive online postings, with pages of photos, writings on different topics and even a suspected video of the alleged murder are all indicative of that need for attention.
