Man suffers serious injuries after being hit by a car in Scarborough

A man is in hospital in critical condition after being struck by a car in Scarborough. Toronto Police say just before 9 p.m. Saturday, the man was crossing the intersection of McCowan Road and Ellesmere Avenue when he was struck by the vehicle. Police believe the pedestrian may have been crossing against a red light.
