Ikea recalling track lighting system

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, Durham, GTA, Toronto

Ikea is recalling a faulty track lighting system, warning that it poses a risk of electric shock.  The problem is with a faulty ground connection.  The lighting units, manufactured in china, were sold exclusively at ikea stores from september 2011 to march 2012.  The company says customers should stop using the track and return it to any ikea store for a replacement or full refund.  Ikea Canada says the recall involves the Ikea 365+ S-NDA 70-centimetre and 114-centimetre track lighting from supplier 212338 with the date stamp 1134-1208 (YYWW).  For complete details, click here.
