Toronto Police issue public safety alert after a series of gun-point robberies in the downtown area

Police in Toronto are investigating after five separate women were robbed at gun-point early Friday. Officials say the incidents happened in the Bloor and Christie area, between 6:00 am and 8:00 am. Police say the man approached the women, pointed a handgun at them, demanded cash and then fled. The suspect is described as white with a dark complexion, average height and build.
