NDP’s final budget demands include a tax credit to help the unemployed

The New Democrats have given the minority Liberals their final list of demands. The Liberals need the NDP to support their budget, or Ontario will face another election. Tuesday, NDP leader Andrea Horwath called for a $250-million tax credit to help the unemployed and also asked for help for sectors hurt by the budget, including horse racing and tourism. The latest requests are in addition to an already lengthy list of demands. The Liberal government has yet to comment on any of the NDP’s desires.
