Five day suspension handed to Mississauga bus driver for ‘lengthy’ washroom break

Posted by news | Filed under All News Stories, GTA

A five day suspension has been handed down to a Mississauga bus driver, after it was deemed a washroom break was too long. Mississauga Transit is now being accused of violating the driver’s human rights. A passenger complained that riders weren’t given a reason for the delay at the Meadowvale Town Centre, but union president Nicholas Bye says it’s an invasion of privacy if driver’s have to inform passengers they need to use the washroom.

Maybe the driver had a stomach ache but decided to be a trooper and go into work anyways. These people who complain blow my mind! It always has to be that one person that ruins it for everyone else.
